The German government is drafting a law that would grant intelligence agencies the power to enter private homes and install monitoring equipment without the owner's knowledge. According to reports, Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt's proposal would allow the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution to conduct such operations. 

 The draft legislation has been met with strong opposition, particularly from the FDP, whose Justice Minister Marco Buschmann has publicly rejected any secret home searches as unconstitutional. 

 The proposed law would also give the Federal Criminal Police Office the authority to place spyware on suspects' smartphones and computers. Additionally, it would permit the recruitment of 16- and 17-year-old informants. 

 The measures would allow the intelligence agencies to hack computers, manipulate data, and alter digital communications, with most operations requiring approval from an independent oversight body. However, in urgent cases, this approval would not be necessary. 

 This development has significant implications for privacy rights in Germany, and its outcome will likely be closely watched by civil liberties groups and the public alike.

 The EU's regulatory efforts have also led to the delisting of privacy coins and the elimination of 90% of crypto firms. However, instead of achieving the desired outcome of a more controlled and transparent market, the regulations seem to have driven users towards self-custody solutions. 

 This has not been independently confirmed, but if true, it suggests that the EU's regulatory approach may be having the opposite effect of what was intended. By pushing users towards self-custody wallets, the regulations may be reducing visibility and control over the crypto market, rather than increasing it. 

 The situation highlights the challenges of regulating a decentralized and privacy-focused industry like cryptocurrency, where users can easily move their assets beyond the reach of authorities.
